Cấu trúc đề thi IELTS mới nhất 

Đề thi IELTS Listening (30 phút)

Phần thi này bao gồm các câu hỏi kiểm tra năng lực của bạn trong việc nắm bắt các ý chính và thông tin thực tế thật chi tiết, khả năng nhận thức quan điểm và thái độ của người nói, khả năng hiểu được mục đích của vấn đề được nói đến và khả năng theo kịp sự trình bày các ý kiến.

Cấu trúc đề thi IELTS Listening đều giống nhau 100% giữa IELTS Academic và IELTS General.

• Thời gian làm bài của phần thi Listening là 30 phút + 10 phút ghi chép đáp án sang answer sheet. 
• Số câu hỏi của IELTS Listening IELTS Listening bao gồm 40 câu hỏi. Mỗi câu trả lời đúng được 1 điểm (thô) → Điểm thô tối đa là 40 điểm. 

Lưu ý: đây là điểm “thô” (raw score) và không phải là điểm được ghi trên bảng diếm kết quả. Bản raw score này sẽ được chuyển sang band điểm IELTS phù hợp (từ 0 – 9).

Cấu trúc chung phần nghe IELTS (IELTS Listening)

IELTS Listening có 4 phần nhỏ, mỗi phần tương ứng với 1 audio để nghe (các đoạn hội thoại sẽ có độ khó tăng dần). 

• Phần 1: một đoạn hội thoại giữa 2 người về một chủ đề hàng ngày. 
• Phần 2: một đoạn độc thoại về một chủ đề xã hội hàng ngày. 
• Phần 3. một đoạn hội thoại giữa nhiều người (2 – 4 người) về một chủ đề liên quan đến giáo dục, đào tạo. 
• Phần 4. một độc thoại về chủ đề học thuật. 

Lưu ý: Mỗi audio chỉ phát 1 lần duy nhất. Phần nghe có thể có nhiều tông giọng khác nhau và không cố định giọng Anh – Anh, Anh – Uc, Anh – NeW Zealand, Anh – Mỹ và Anh – Canada. Mỗi phần sẽ đặt 10 câu hỏi với một hay nhiều dạng khác nhau. 

Đề thi IELTS Reading (60 phút)

Phần thi môn Đọc (Reading) gồm có 40 câu hỏi. Một vài loại câu hỏi được sử dụng để kiểm tra kỹ năng đọc. Các kỹ năng này bao gồm đọc để nắm bắt ý chính, đọc để hiểu các khái niệm chính, đọc để nhớ chi tiết, đọc lướt, đọc hiểu các lập luận chặt chẽ, và nhận ra quan điểm, thái độ và mục đích của người viết.

Đề thi Reading Academic 

Hình thức Academic bao gồm 3 đoạn văn dài (khoảng 1500 từ, độ khó tăng dần) từ miêu tả và tả thực đến sự rời rạc và phân tích. 

Các đoạn văn có thực và được trích từ sách, tập san, tạp chí và báo. Những đoạn văn này được chọn lọc để dành cho đọc giả không chuyên. Tuy nhiên được công nhận thích hợp với mọi người ghi danh vào các khóa đại học hoặc cao học hoặc đang dự định đăng ký về chuyên môn.

Đề thi Reading General 

Hình thức General yêu cầu bạn đọc các đoạn trích từ sách, tạp chí, báo, thông báo, quảng cáo, sổ tay công ty và các hướng dẫn. Có các tài liệu mà bạn có thể bắt gặp hàng ngày trong môi trường nói Tiếng Anh.

Có thể thấy, thời gian làm bài IELTS Reading cũng không thoải mái. Việc vận dụng tối ưu kỹ năng đọc lướt nội dung để có thể nắm bắt được ý chính và chủ đề của các đoạn văn là điều cực kỳ cần thiết.

Đề thi IELTS Writing (60 phút)

Cấu trúc bài thi IELTS Writing gồm 2 bài Task 1 và Task 2 trong vòng 60 phút. Số chữ quy định Task 1 là 150 từ và task 2 là 250 từ.

Thời gian để thí sinh làm đề thi IELTS Writing nhiều hơn so với những phần thi khác. Tuy nhiên điều đó không đồng nghĩa với việc nội dung thi này dễ hơn. Để có thể ăn điểm trong mắt người chấm, bắt buộc bài viết của bạn phải được lên ý tưởng sáng tạo cùng với một dàn bài logic, mạch lạc cùng với những từ ngữ mới lạ.

Đề thi Writing Academic

Phần thi môn Viết Academic bao gồm hai phần. Các chủ đề môn viết là mối quan tâm chung về và thích hợp với mọi người vào học đại học hoặc cao học hoặc đang dự định đăng ký về chuyên môn.

• Task 1: Bạn sẽ được đưa ra một bản đồ (map),  bảng (table), hay sơ đồ quá trình (process/diagram),… và được yêu cầu miêu tả, tóm tắt hay giải thích thông tin bằng từ ngữ của chính mình. Bạn cũng có thể được yêu cầu mô tả và giải thích dữ liệu, mô tả các giai đoạn của một quá trình, một điều gì đó hoạt động như thế nào hay mô tả một đối tượng hay một sự kiện.
• Task 2: Bạn sẽ được yêu cầu viết một bài luận để phản hồi lại một quan điểm, một lập luận hay một vấn đề. Bạn phải hoàn thành cả hai phần thi bằng phong cách viết văn trang trọng.

Đề thi Writing General 

Phần thi môn Viết General bao gồm hai phần được căn cứ vào các chủ đề được quan tâm chung.

• Task 1: Bạn sẽ được giới thiệu một tình huống và được yêu cầu viết một lá thư đề nghị cung cấp thông tin hoặc giải thích tình huống. Lá thư có thể được viết theo phong cách thân mật, bình thường hoặc trang trọng.
• Task 2: Bạn sẽ được yêu cầu viết một bài luận phải hồi lại một quan điểm, một lập luận hay một vấn đề. Bài luận này có thể sẽ thiên về phong cách thân mật hơn là bài luận trong Phần 2 của hình thức thi Học thuật.

Đề thi IELTS Speaking (15 phút)

Nếu muốn dành điểm cao ở bài thi IELTS Speaking bạn không nên nói lại nội dung đã giới thiệu ở trước đó. Toàn bộ những gì bạn nói ra đều sẽ được ghi âm để tiện cho ban giám khảo đánh giá. Vậy nên hãy linh hoạt hơn trong việc sử dụng và chuyển đổi từ ngữ để bài nói trở nên sinh động hơn.

Phần thi Nói của hai hình thức Học thuật và Tổng quát đều giống nhau. Phần thi Nói đánh giá khả năng nói của bạn và diễn ra trong vòng 11 đến 14 phút. Mỗi phần thi đều được ghi âm.

• Part 1: Đây được coi là phần khởi động cho bài thi Speaking, bạn sẽ nhận được các câu hỏi tương đối dễ xoay quanh các chủ đề về cuộc sống của bạn, gia đình, bạn bè, công việc, học tập….
• Part 2: Thí sinh được trao một mẩu giấy và cây bút và yêu cầu nói về một chủ đề cụ thể trong vòng tối đa 2 phút. Trước khi nói các bạn sẽ có 1 phút để chuẩn bị trước, sau đó giám khảo sẽ hỏi thêm 1 số câu hỏi về chủ đề này và kết thúc chuyển sang Part 3.
• Part 3: Bạn sẽ được hỏi thêm một số câu hỏi có thể liên quan đến chủ đề phần 2 hoặc không? Bạn cần phải thảo luận nhiều hơn với giám khảo để có thể gây ấn tượng tốt.
